Startline works with partners in the Waikato region to support small businesses. You may be able to apply for financial support to access our services.
We are a Regional Business Partner, and you may be able to access a 50% discount on our services.
To be eligible for this you must:
Be registered and operating in New Zealand
This includes being a New Zealand - owned business (though some foreign - owned firms may qualify under certain conditions).Have fewer than 50 full - time equivalent employees
The RBPN support is focused on small to medium enterprises (SMEs).Be actively trading
This means the business is:Selling goods or services
Generating revenue
Have a New Zealand Business Number (NZBN)
Be GST registered
Have a desire to grow or innovate
The business should be looking to improve or grow – for example, by expanding into new markets, improving systems, building capability, or responding to challenges like digital transformation or export readiness.
Startline is a registered BTAG provider with the Ministry of Social Development. If you are currently on a benefit and looking to start a new business, you may be eligible to have some of your foundational planning (like your Business Plan) fully supported.
Eligibility depends on you:
Being aged 18 or older and not qualified to get New Zealand Superannuation in your own right
Meeting the Flexi-wage residency criteria
Not being insolvent
Being unemployed
Being at risk of long - term benefit receipt, and
Being disadvantaged in the labour market.
